High budget title called triple-A starts testing with the first playable alpha products. • Functionality: Functionality testing usually relates to the best functioning of the video games. Game tester checks the video games for error in functioning. It does not require high technical knowledge.
• Compliance: Games are subject to particular content ratings and if the standards are not met then it can be disapproved by regulatory bodies such as ESRB. As with licensing if game does not get desired rating then its need to be re-edited, retested and resubmitted with additional cost.

• Localization: Localization refers to the games being developed and released in different languages. So game testing is done to test the game script as per location.
• Soaking: Soaking is done to see the presence of memory leaks or rounding errors in the games and this is generally done by leaving the game running for hours in the conditions as paused, idling and title screen.

• Reporting: Reporting of bug.
• Analysis: Analyzing developer responsible for bug�s
• Verification: once bug is fixed again testing and verification.
• Regression testing: Again and again testing to check bugs are not regressed.
